Theatre or Theater

Hi Readers,

I apologize because i am so busy lately (#excuse). And i am still trying to think what i should write :p.

Yesterday (14 Mar 2013), i watched Sampek Engtay by Teater Koma at Gedung Kesenian Jakarta (near Pasar Baru) and that was awesome as usual (i already watched their performance 2 times - Antigoneo and Sie Jin Kwie di Negeri Sihir, and you can see in their websites- click this link).

I arrived at Gedung Kesenian Jakarta (GKJ) around 18.30, the show performed at 20.00. Because i can't wait without doing anything. I decided to take dinner around this place and took around by walking, i had a lot of time before the show.

So i walked to Pasar Baru (in english : New's Market ?) by crossing the street and the busway bridge. I was very careful walking in this area, the place is crowded and just make sure i will save (and be careful of your stuffs). Taking picture in front of the main gate :

Still crowded of people and a lot of stuffs and foods here, such as traditional shop and modern shops (BATA, KFC, MCD, AW, MATAHARI, etc. But if you kept your eyes watching aroung of you, you will find out that a lot of small alley/road/street. Just try it :p i walked for almost 1 hour haha (to killing time).

And i was taking my dinner there, near Bakmi Kerinci you will find small street, and go ahead. At the end of that place, i ate Bakmi Aboen (slurppp), i am sorry no picture here. Because i am so hungry haha i just ate the foods without thought to take the picture lol.

After that I walked back to GKJ and i found a lot of shops with people who make an artistic picture of us in front of it. And already a lot of people inside GKJ.

Because too much people, i couldn't take full picture of the billboard -_-'. And the show itself was awesome (daebak!). Just come and watch it :)

I really recommend you seriously :-D. You can check the website directly about the ticket price, locations, etc. Of course i will watch their performance after this and as always (hope so :p).

About the story of Sampek Engtay (i got from this link) :

A girl who broke the traditional boundaries of her time. Engtay, a girl from Serang, disguises herself as a man so that she can go to school in Betawi. Along the way, she became sworn brothers with Sampek, a boy from Pandeglang. It turns out, they are studying at the same school. As days go by, Engtay falls for Sampek. But, will Engtay have the courage to reveal her true identity to Sampek?
Since its first staging 25 years ago, this adaptation of the Chinese classic by N. Riantiarno has been performed many times by Teater Koma. Now, with members old and new participating, the audience's emotions will be captivated by the enchanting performances, dance numbers, songs and music. Don't miss it!

Semarang City (Again) for Culinary ?

Hi Readers,

Yeay suddenly i must go to Semarang again just in couple of months..

With the kindness of my colleague, they bring us to try a lot of amazing and delicious food :p.

Actually i am trying to try "tahu petis", but i can't find the time :(. But it is okay :p i already got a lot of foods here hahaha.. And >.< do a lot of gym after that day ._. .. hahaha..

First i flight from Jakarta to Semarang, it took almost 1 hour and the sky was very clear.

After arrived, we tried "Nasi Ayam" (Chicken Rice), it is delicious i am never tried this food, with an half egg, and the stuffs (i don't know the name) with the banana leaves. Hmmm the taste sweet, the portion is small  but the taste (y).

Lunch time i tried the food called "Mie Titee", the noodle is same but the meat (pork) come from legs part. The taste is sweet and like the meat so much :-D..

Because we still had the time, we tried "Dawet Durian". Yeah if you don't like Durian the taste will disaster. But not for me, hahaha i like the durian so much :-D. Just fyi some places like the airport / hotel / taxi will prohibit the Durian because of the bad (good for me) smell.

When we went to "Dawet Durian", my colleague ordered us a Lakker / Lekker. I am not sure for the words :p.. They sold some taste, actually look like the creeps but more traditional when they made it.

Night already came :p, it meant dinner time! haha.. we went to Gama Restaurant then ordered ginseng leaves, lemburi (kinna of the sea creatures :p), cempiring (a crab that we can eat also with the shell), a real crab (this is very delicious seriously and i like it so much, you must try this menu), tempe, and fish. I recommend you to go this place, because of the crab :p haha..

We made the time to take another dessert :p, haha.. It is called "Es Puter Congklik" the taste? hehe.. like so much the ice creams with durian+coconut lol..

The next day we went to Kudus, so we tried "Pindang Kerbau" (Kerbau = Buffalo). Why the meat is buffalo? i heard from local people. It was a history that a lot of Kudus people came from Bali. And Bali people because of their religion (Hindu) doesn't permit them to eat the cow (like muslim doesn't eat the pork). So even majority they already muslim but they maintain this rules as their culture :). It is delicious also because i never ate Buffalo meat haha.. You can add another food also here :) like the photo...

After did this and that :p, for our closing in Kudus and Semarang. We went to Garang Asem and because the weather also hot. The food is very hot, spicy and acid, made this food very awesome for me haha.. Actually this food contains of an half chicken, small green tomatoes, green chilies, etc and covered by banana leaves. Just try this food seriuously ;)

This was the the first time for me (yeah we always get the first time right), i must walked for almost 2 km to airport because of the traffics. And i succeed to check in 5 minutes before i flight. I walked very fast to catch the flight -_-', luckily the airport is small and the counter to boarding area is so closed. Please i don't want it happen anymore haha.. For sure if i am in Jakarta, i can't get my flight haha..
