Semarang City (Again) for Culinary ?

Hi Readers,

Yeay suddenly i must go to Semarang again just in couple of months..

With the kindness of my colleague, they bring us to try a lot of amazing and delicious food :p.

Actually i am trying to try "tahu petis", but i can't find the time :(. But it is okay :p i already got a lot of foods here hahaha.. And >.< do a lot of gym after that day ._. .. hahaha..

First i flight from Jakarta to Semarang, it took almost 1 hour and the sky was very clear.

After arrived, we tried "Nasi Ayam" (Chicken Rice), it is delicious i am never tried this food, with an half egg, and the stuffs (i don't know the name) with the banana leaves. Hmmm the taste sweet, the portion is small  but the taste (y).

Lunch time i tried the food called "Mie Titee", the noodle is same but the meat (pork) come from legs part. The taste is sweet and like the meat so much :-D..

Because we still had the time, we tried "Dawet Durian". Yeah if you don't like Durian the taste will disaster. But not for me, hahaha i like the durian so much :-D. Just fyi some places like the airport / hotel / taxi will prohibit the Durian because of the bad (good for me) smell.

When we went to "Dawet Durian", my colleague ordered us a Lakker / Lekker. I am not sure for the words :p.. They sold some taste, actually look like the creeps but more traditional when they made it.

Night already came :p, it meant dinner time! haha.. we went to Gama Restaurant then ordered ginseng leaves, lemburi (kinna of the sea creatures :p), cempiring (a crab that we can eat also with the shell), a real crab (this is very delicious seriously and i like it so much, you must try this menu), tempe, and fish. I recommend you to go this place, because of the crab :p haha..

We made the time to take another dessert :p, haha.. It is called "Es Puter Congklik" the taste? hehe.. like so much the ice creams with durian+coconut lol..

The next day we went to Kudus, so we tried "Pindang Kerbau" (Kerbau = Buffalo). Why the meat is buffalo? i heard from local people. It was a history that a lot of Kudus people came from Bali. And Bali people because of their religion (Hindu) doesn't permit them to eat the cow (like muslim doesn't eat the pork). So even majority they already muslim but they maintain this rules as their culture :). It is delicious also because i never ate Buffalo meat haha.. You can add another food also here :) like the photo...

After did this and that :p, for our closing in Kudus and Semarang. We went to Garang Asem and because the weather also hot. The food is very hot, spicy and acid, made this food very awesome for me haha.. Actually this food contains of an half chicken, small green tomatoes, green chilies, etc and covered by banana leaves. Just try this food seriuously ;)

This was the the first time for me (yeah we always get the first time right), i must walked for almost 2 km to airport because of the traffics. And i succeed to check in 5 minutes before i flight. I walked very fast to catch the flight -_-', luckily the airport is small and the counter to boarding area is so closed. Please i don't want it happen anymore haha.. For sure if i am in Jakarta, i can't get my flight haha..

Karimun Jawa Islands | Beach

Hi Dawn :-D

I start to write this after 2 months i went to Karimun Jawa Islands haha, and suddenly i should write this before i went to Semarang for business trip. Because it reminds me about this great trips :-D.

Overall i like the beaches and landscapes here besides Derawan Island, it took 4 days too. Please check the weather first, i went to Semarang one night in last day for culinary of course :p. And tomorrow will my culinary (read : business) trip in Semarang.

So lets start the story.. I went from Jakarta to Semarang by the early morning flight (because it was very cheap around 300k for return tickets), and i used a travel there. I forgot the name but my friend did it for me. They picked us at Semarang Airport to Jepara Seaport and went by a ship - express bahari (choose the fast one, believe me :p. I suggest you to check for the ship schedule or just bought from local people and you can go from Semarang Seaport also just check for the ship schedule). I arrived around 3 pm in Karimun Jawa main island, took a lunch and went to Nirwana Beach (Private Beach with resorts).

You can enjoy your night at port looking the stars :-D, hope the stars fall and make a wish like i did :p haha.. Or you can find food around the square near the small ports. At second day, i went to Menjangan Kecil (Small) Island for snorkeling, took a picture, and have fun for sure :), Geleang (means white) Island for a break and took a lunch, Gosong (means an island when the water went recede) Cemara Island for a while and took a picture, and Tanjung Gelam Island for sunset = took a picture and closing my day.

The third day also the same went from one island to another islands :), first i went to around the shipwrecked and actually i just could see the edge of the ship. It was very deep around 2-4 meters from the surface. And looked at the fish :p. Then i went to Tengah (Middle) Island for lunch and i didn't realize i fell a sleep here in wood house lol around 1 hour :p. Haha and before i took my lunch, my friend found a lot of small clown fish (nemo) behind the island. My friend found it when we want to take a pee :p. After that i went to another island called Kecil (Small) Island for snorkeling again, etc. Last for closing the day, i saw sharks (a lot), it was so scary :p.

Last day got back to Semarang at the evening (check this link for semarang city) and find a lot of food until the morning :p haha.. Just try tahu petis (tomorrow i will find this food again :p --> finally i didn't have time to find this food -_-')

And this was me took by my colleague aka my boss @edosunt around the hot and cold water meet. Yup some place is warm and another side is cold. So you will see a lot of fishes everywhere :-D

Lawang Sewu and Mystery of Ghost? (Semarang City)

Lawang Sewu in English means one thousand door, why? because the building have many door (but i believe that the doors don't reach one thousand) and, that building estate from Holland (build on 1904-1907) and the function of the building as tour place now, before as a tour place lawang sewu are use as resistant place and office centre, why many people want to look that place because many interesting view inside.

Yes if you go there at the morning or afternoon, but how about you go there at the middle of the night. So scary? not really :p hehe, the place is very crowded even at the night. And the place is near police station, you will save :).

Why i write about lawang sewu? because...last time when i did a treadmill, i watched national geographic channel about "Mystery 360 Ghost bla2.." and this movie talked about ghost. They tried to prove about the ghost mystery in the old jail building, used modern technology. And the conclusion was awesome for me.

 And this is my summary from National Geographic about Ghost Mystery :

• The modern technology can't prove the existing of the ghost. No signs from their device.
• Infra Red --> it can't take smoke/fog movement
• Electromagnetic --> it can be anywhere because every device have the electromagnetic and will increase in some spots because of cable, signal, your device, etc.
• Sound --> it can happen because the place it self
• All of this happen because our physical and mind somehow work in the right way. According to the psychology test that people with the information (about the place is scary and maybe there is a ghost) and believe about the existing of the ghost, will make them more sensitive about the place rather than  the people without any information (about the place) and don't believe with the existing of the ghost. And they proved why some people can look some marks or signs about the ghost. All is because the place itself is very scary (make our mind feel something wrong and uncomfort), our mind about the place and ghost, and last some sounds in low frequency (sometimes it happen because the place makes this sound naturally) can make your eyes, nose, and ears more sensitive (not hallucinations). That proves how your eyes / ears / nose can see (the marks / the signs) / smell / hear (the sounds) something in some spots suddenly and that is not a suggestion/hallucinations.

So up to you, do you believe any mystery of ghost in the earth?
