Foodgasm at Penang Island | Malaysia

Hi Readers,

Before i forgot my story :p, i am trying to write it very fast (when i am in good mood :p).

In January 2013, i accompany my mom to do a medical check up in Penang Island.

That is the main purpose of my 'trip' :p, and at the end i was trying to find a food, walking around there.

The hospital picked up me by its shuttle, just make sure you made an appointment with the hospital first (i used email to contact them). And i got back to airport by the hospital shuttle's (if you don't go to see a doctor, they will charge you 5 RM).

I went to Penang Adventist Hospital (you can check in this link), you can check in their websites about the doctors. And this place is enough near with the Gurney Plaza, you can walk just only for 15 minutes :).

I lived in guest house near this hospital. And for several times i went to Gurney to find foods :-D.

Batam Islands area Industry / Business Area?

Yeaa~..

What is in your mind when you hear or read about Batam? Singapore? Cheap electronic/perfume?

I also think the same, but the reality.. I just felt i don't like Batam :p hehe just because i got problem in transportation :p. You must used taxi to go every where or you can paid for a car for one day. About the perfume or electronic, i didn't buy any of it. Maybe because i didn't have enough time to hunt :p.

The beaches are flat because too much cargo / big ship cross the sea, it means the sea will not clear and beautiful at all. But however the beach have their beauty right :p. Like this beach :)

And because as the name Batam Islands, from one island to another island they build a bridge call baronang bridge (they have six bridge). I took a photo in the middle of the road because not too much car crossed this way (i knew no pic mean hoax :p, but whatever haha).

Trip to Derawan Islands | 4 Days 3 Nights

Yeay, finally first trip for this year went to Derawan Islands :-D.

After i got information from my colleagues (they went there in februari), I and my friend (@ga_lih) decided to go there in 17-20 May 2012 (because the weather is sunny, just remember to check the weather first, it will not worth it if rainy, you can't see the landscape and the underwater in that weather)

The trip was very tired (but fun) :p, you must flight from Jakarta to Balikpapan (almost 2 hours) then Tarakan (almost 1 hour), after that you must take a boat to Derawan Islands (around 3-6 hours depend on your speed boat).

A lot of 'snakes' if you saw in air plane, so don't miss it.

Luckyly, we got 750p speedboat it meant a happiness (for me) :p haha, because we went anywhere in short time because of the speed :p..

This sunset is in maratua island, this is awesome and you can see the stars in the night :-D 

Everywhere the sky is so clear and so blue (also hot)

This is the 'small' island, will come up when the water is tide.

Our schedule was snorkling, snorkling and snorkling at the morning until the afternoon from one island to another islands. Enjoyed for the landscape and that was so 'kewl' (cool).

And went to the port, laid down and looked at the stars in the night (Sadly i couldn't take the picture for the stars)

Derawan Islands has some famous islands such as Kakaban Island, Derawan Island, Maratua Island, Nabucco Island, Sangalaki Island, etc :).

I lived in Maratua Island and i like this place, not too much visitors (just us) in this island rather than in Derawan Island (i went there in 'peak' seasson). I lived in cheap place :), and in this island also had resort (much more expensive).

This is the maratua island (empty right, no visitors), you can also swim with the jellyfish here, but from i hear the place is hard to reach :)

I also went to Kakaban Island for swim with jellyfish (a lot) and it isn't poison :)
